Roger Waters
George Roger Waters born
at Surrey, on September 6, 1943, son of Mary and Eric Fletcher Waters.
Thanks to his
father's death five months after his birth, Roger was raised with his brother
and mother, partly in Surrey, and elsewhere in Cambridge, where he met Sid
Barrett who would be part of the future band Sigma 6, along with Nick Manson
and Richard Wright. Later, the band eventually became the rock band "Pink
Floyd", which after abandoning Sid ended up being "led" by Roger
Walters.
After many albums and
some disagreements with other band members, Walters left the band, taking the
rights of "The Wall" and other compositions.
Even solo, still
touring and doing shows, some of them going until even Brazil. His most famous
works are: Ummagumma, Atom Heart Mother, The Dark Side of the Moon, Animals and
The Wall.
Roger Waters it’s a
great composer, singer and bass player, and that makes him a person with musical
and linguistic intelligence, and that’s why I chose him, because he’s awesome.
